In his work, Ricardo combines different techniques inspired by the masters of the Renaissance starting with the use of wood boards “Tavola” and using wood partitions builds and creates the structure of the retable, to cover the surface he applies stucco to create a thin and smooth surface. In his creative process he uses jute canvas, nails, perforations, gold leaf, steel needles, sanguine, charcoal pencils and natural pigments. He also transfers his sketches to the surface just as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael Sanzio and other notable artists would trace their drawings on the mural to paint.
